Hello Magpies!
Just flew back from Miami Beach for New Years – and it was hot, hot, hot. Well, not the weather, but Chace Crawford! Checked out Liv at the Fontainebleau – a HUGE two-floor night club that was trying to act really exclusive, with a bouncer pointing at people he selected to go in. Well, don’t you worry, we got in to check it out. It turned out to be way better than we expected. With three tremendous bouncers standing guard, a strange collection of celebrity hotties had a table on the dance floor. Chace Crawford was wearing a black baseball hat, which didn’t disguise him or his half-closed big, glazed over beautiful, blue eyes from the sea of girls dancing around him. Stacy Keibler (looking pretty young for a 30 something) was towering over Chace and seriously putting her moves on him. JC Chasez was not so hot…but nice, in a has-been kind of way. And Matt Morrison from Glee – he was really friendly. We chatted him up and found out what he’d be wearing to the Golden Globes (Dolce and Gabbana), where he’s up for Best Actor in a TV Musical or Comedy, and his favorite restaurant in NYC (Basilica). Guess we know where we’ll be eating soon…Also, he loves MOST of his fellow cast members – but he really can’t stand one…oops! Almost forgot – Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado, from the Hills – one of our British magpies was totally dying over Brody. Guess that makes him an international non-celebrity!
A little while later, Paul Wesley from “The Vampire Diaries,” and Kevin Connolly from “Entourage” walked up to the table. Now, I’m sure you Entourage fans have figured out that Kevin Connolly is not very tall. In fact, some celebrity websites claim he’s about 5’5″. But wow – we couldn’t believe our eyes — he is DEFINITELY no taller than 5’3″! We were shocked-especially because Katherine Heigl’s character in “The Ugly Truth” referred to him as being 5’9″ – not even close!
But enough of this celebrity chitchat – more importantly, we had to find something to keep our lips from burning up in the Florida sun – or, more importantly, to keep them extra kissable in case Chace had a change of heart… Like you, we have collected enough SPF lip glosses and balms to fill our beach bag ten times – but while the shine may be pretty, our lips always end up destroyed. Finally, we found the best one of all (and according to Lucky mag, so did Carrie Underwood) – its the Dior Addict Lip Glow with SPF 10. Our lips really did stay moist, protected, and though it claims to bring out your “natural” lip color, everyone seemed to end up with the same perfectly pink pout. It goes on like an actual lipstick, and didn’t melt in the sun, even after a full day at the beach. Listen magpies, it’s a definite must for your next vacation. Buy it at Sephora or any major department store!
Now, glad to be back and freezing in NYC. We have plenty of new restaurants to check out, new sales to hit, new vintage gems to dig up – and we are going to share with you all the details in our neverending search!!
