Boutique Eat Shop – an Art Gallery to Visit on an Empty Stomach!

Nestled on a quiet corner of West Chelsea on 22nd Street and 11th Avenue, Boutique Eat Shop is one of the only restaurants in a neighborhood full of art galleries. But what makes this restaurant unique is that it’s also a gallery space! From the fixtures to the artwork – everything in the whole place (minus the tables and chairs…and the waiters) is for sale. So while you’re eating tasty food from a very creative menu, the atmosphere is pretty fab, too. And speaking of the food, we decided to start our meal by splitting the burrata and cherry tomato salad, which was creamy and light – the perfect summer appetizer.

We then ordered the burger – which was served on a truffle brioche bun, with harissa aioli and potato wedges. You can never go wrong with a burger – and this one was no exception. However, they do get bonus points for the harissa aioli – which almost tasted like spicy mayo.

But the real standout of the night was the ginger crusted snapper, which was served with sweet yellow corn and peanut miso dressing. This dish was good ’til the last bite – and had us wishing we had gotten our own instead of sharing! This was a recommendation from a loyal Magpie, and we highly recommend it to you.

So the next time you’re looking for a spot to dine in West Chelsea, look no further than Boutique Eat Shop. This small art gallery is big on atmosphere and big on taste  – it’s a culinary masterpiece!
