Should You Choose to Forego Your Individual Rooms And Start A Lemonade Stand…

We Magpies always love doing something for charity – and when you mix in cast members of “The Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette,” and the “Bachelor Pad” – what could be better? Over the weekend, Graham Bunn (“The Bachelorette,” Deanna’s season, and the most recent season of “Bachelor Pad”) organized a fab event in Central Park. Graham is one of the cool celebrities who actually used his 15 minutes of reality fame to further a great cause. He co-founded an organization called 46NYC, which is basically a company that designs and sells clothing to raise money for charity. On Saturday, with the help of the “Bachelor” family, Graham held an event called “Alex’s Lemonade Stand.”  The story goes that in 2004, when Alexandra “Alex” Scott passed away at the age of eight, she was such an inspiration that her own lemonade stand had raised over $1 million towards finding a cure for cancer. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was started by her parents in 2005 to continue the work that Alex began. The organization has raised over $30 million for pediatric cancer research. So on Saturday, everyone that we’ve ever watched on the “Bachelor” was there to support the cause – including JP Rosenbaum and Ashley Hebert (sporting a new haircut and being very  lovey dovey still with JP), Michelle Money (who was Graham’s partner on “Bachelor Pad” – and we got the scoop from Bunn’s sister that yes, he and Michelle are dating and his family and niece, picture above, really like her), Ames Brown (who confessed to us that he lives in the Village and doesn’t even own a TV), Michael Stagliano (really very funny in person – and he said he’s finally over his break-up with Holly), and Will Holman (who is trying to get into voice-over work…preferably cartoons…and does a mean British accent).

Here’s another shot of the happy couples below (P.S. what do you think of Ashley Hebert’s  hairstyle? We think we like it…but JP told us he loves it!)…

Here’s one more of J.P., Ashley and Will…

And here’s the really nice Texas charmer, Jeremy Anderson (remember him from Deanna’s season? She ended up losing her mind and picked Jesse Csinsak over him) getting a  man? hug from Michael Stagliano…

Overall – it was a fun event for a great cause. Hundreds of fans turned out to meet these pseudo-celebrities – and we must say, all of them were friendly and normal in person (except for Ames, who was nice but definitely not normal…maybe the concussion did affect him!?). They passed out lemonade and collected donations, all to raise money – but maybe next year they should also sell the tee shirts they were wearing…even though we still don’t get what it means! Nonetheless, hats off to Graham and his cast of bachelors and bachelorettes for sponsoring this fundraiser right here in New York  –  here’s to an even bigger turnout next year!
